We have been enjoying our summer so much! I know I'm not the only one in our house that's sad for it to come to an end soon. Our summer has been filled with BBQ's, baseball games, and of course the best part - swimming with our friends!
Another special summer tradition we have is to attend Mike's summer evening concerts on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. We sit on the grass and the kids catch fireflies while we listen to the beautiful music. Often we bring friends with us to share in the tradition as well.
In July, my awesome mom came out for my cousin Darren's wedding, and then she took Isaac, Hannah, and Laura back to St. George with her. Mike, Stephen, and I all met up with them in SLC, and had a blast sight-seeing there together.
One of the best parts of my time in SLC was seeing so many dear friends and my wonderful cousins that I hadn't seen in so long. We also had the chance to see our nephew Brandon off to the MTC.
Many thanks to my wonderful Aunt Theresa who let us stay with her during that time. After our wonderful time in SLC we drove up to Idaho (many thanks to my wonderful parents for letting us use their car!) for the Vance Family Reunion. The reunion was spent playing games, tennis tournaments, a talent show, the "Vance Dance," a 21 foot inflatable water slide, a 5k - 1 mile walk/run, and most importantly - bonding with the Vance Family.
We also had a "Vance Family Film Festival." Here is our family's submission!
After a week in Idaho Falls, we drove eight hours to St. George (breaking it up to stay the night in Layton with Theresa once again!), and spent four days with my family. We went to Tuacahn and saw the musical "Tarzan" (a big hit with the kids!), went to dinner one night at Pirate Island Pizza, had a birthday BBQ for Grandma Lund, and mostly just SWAM!!!
We also had some amazing pictures taken by a friend - Rachel Steele. They're some of my absolute favorites!

After all of that fun, it's been so sad to be home now. We miss our families so much, but we are so grateful for the wonderful trip we had. We can't wait to do it again!

I love your photos, Haleigh! Your summer activities sound like a lot of fun. It was so great to see you and Mike and the kids again in SLC. :) How wonderfully random was that?! Love from your friend, Kaarin
Cute family, thanks for sharing your blog.

Wow! What a ton of fun! That would be so neat to listen to those concerts in the summer evening. What a cool opportunity for the children! You're looking good with baby #5! Hope all is well.
