Today my Isaac turned 9. We had the best day today. He woke up and had our "Vance Birthday Breakfast," which is waffles from scratch, fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and a candle. I took cupcakes over to the school at lunchtime and it was so fun to visit with him and his friends. After school he opened up some awesome presents from Grandma and Grandpa, then all of his friends arrived for the big Star Wars party.
Our cute friend Joseph made Isaac's cake.
The entire party had a Star Wars theme. I made "Padwan vests" for each of the kids since they were "Jedi's in Training." I made light sabers out of pool noodles and duct tape. The highlight of the party was the constant Jedi battles going on with the "light sabers!"
For dinner we had "Galactic Pizza," "Vader Taters," "E-Wok Veggies," "Wookie Cookies," and "Yoda Sodas" served out of Solo brand cups, aka "Hans Solo Cups." The kids had a blast asking for seconds of "Yoda Soda" or "Vader Taters."
Before the guests arrived, the kids drew two "Death Stars" out of chalk on the driveway. For one of our games the kids all threw water balloons at the Death Stars to try and destroy them. They liked this game a lot. Then we did a pinata in our garage. I couldn't find a Star Wars pinata, but I did find a STAR pinata, so they enjoyed smacking the pinata. I didn't get pictures since I was trying to protect all of the kids from getting hit by each other with the baseball bat!
Isaac's cute friends gave him some wonderful gifts. It was so fun to see how thoughtful and kind the kids were - the guests as well as Isaac.
Thanks to everyone for coming. Thanks Isaac for being born! We love you!

I love it! the water noodles with duct tape are brilliant! I'm totally doing that when my son is older. Or maybe for my husband's next birthday. :)
The vests are cool too! You are such a cute mom!
